Get out there

So it’s the weekend…..what fun plans do you have?  Yesterday I attended a “Hat Luncheon” that benefits our local symphony orchestra.  What is a “Hat Luncheon”?  A group of fabulous women put on a great outfit paired with a unique hat and have lunch at a beautiful country club.  We were greeted with handsome men serving Mimosas and Champagne as we valeted our cars.  It was fun to look out over the venue and see the rainbow of colored dresses and hats.  The best part was we didn’t have to fuss with our hair!  Just put on a hat!  This event has been going on for 16 years and is one many wonderful events that go on in our region.

No matter where you live, there are great activities going on every day and every week.  A life of abundance comes from sharing experiences and traditions with others who are like minded.  We are especially blessed to have many friends who also care about our community.  Most weekends we have to decide what events we can attend as there are just so many worthy causes to support and you can’t do it all.  Although, my husband thinks that I try to….well….  You see in Southwestern Pennsylvania, our social season is short because of the winters and the many “snow birds” who head south or west when the weather gets bad.   So a lot gets packed in between late April and late October.

So if you are wondering what to do to this weekend…..check out your community boards.  Call a friend or two and get out there….you won’t regret it.
