Monday…was it a fun day?

So Monday is one of those days that some of us dread while others face with excitement and anticipation…..what about you?  I have tried very hard over the years to notice what my daughters were good at, what caused them sheer delight and pleasure, and to point them in a direction where they could be passionate about their work daily.  The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6- “to train a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  When my girls were small, a dear friend gave them a book called The Treasure Tree by Gary Smalley.   It is a story of four animal friends who worked together with their very different personalities to solve a riddle that no one of them could solve on their own. The bold Lion, the gentle Golden Retriever, the giggily Otter and the precise Beaver,…It teaches a great lesson on teamwork but also about understanding of your own unique traits.

What is it that brings you true pleasure and delight?  Can you turn that passion into a vocation? When you can incorporate what you love into your work, everyday is a “fun day”….even Mondays.  I am blessed to truly enjoy my work….I am thankful that I was able to find my true purpose and passion in my every day work.

Do what you love, find a way to intertwine it into your everyday work. Live life with purpose, even if it means thinking outside the box! Go out there and do it!

Have a blessed week,

Kim
